Lagos Metropolitan Lions Club is dedicated to improving the quality of education for children in Lagos. Recognizing the importance of a conducive learning environment, the club undertakes various projects to enhance educational infrastructure and provide essential facilities.

One significant initiative was the donation of 10 toilet facilities, 2 stores, and a water supply system to Jubril Martins Government Primary School in Dopemu, Agege, Lagos.

A well-equipped school environment plays a crucial role in the academic and personal development of students. Access to proper sanitation, safe drinking water, and adequate storage facilities are fundamental to maintaining a healthy and effective learning atmosphere. By addressing these needs, Lagos Metropolitan Lions Club helps create a supportive environment where students can focus on their studies and thrive.

In the 2021-2022 Lions Service Year, under the distinguished leadership of Lion Chief Folajimi Christopher Ajayi MJF, the Lagos Metropolitan Lions Club identified Jubril Martins Government Primary School as a beneficiary of their Legacy Project. The school lacked adequate sanitation facilities and storage, which affected both students and staff.

The club constructed 10 modern toilet units, ensuring that students have access to clean and safe sanitation. This significant improvement helps prevent hygiene-related illnesses and fosters a healthier school environment. Recognizing the importance of access to clean water, the club installed a reliable water supply system. This system ensures that students and staff have continuous access to safe drinking water, which is vital for their health and well-being. Additionally, the club provided much-needed space for storing educational materials and supplies. This improvement helps in the organized management of school resources, contributing to a more efficient educational process.

The project had an immediate and positive impact on the school community. Students now enjoy better hygiene facilities, which contributes to their overall health and well-being. Teachers and staff benefit from improved storage solutions, allowing them to manage educational resources more effectively.
